Lynn “Chris” Hedges is an award winning journalist, activist, author and Presbyterian minister. Currently, Hedges serves as a columnist for Truthdig, senior fellow at The Nation Institute in New York City, and contributing author for OpEdNews. Hedges is a best-selling author of several books including War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning (2002), Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle (2009), Death of the Liberal Class (2010), Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt (2012), and his most recent work, Wages of Rebellion: The Moral Imperative of Revolt (2015). Hedges received a Pulitzer Prize in 2002, as well as Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism. Hedges has taught at Columbia University, New York University, Princeton University and the University of Toronto. Hedges earned a M.Div from Harvard Divinity School.
