I would like to thank each of the 100 persons who attended the recent LIPW Annual Meeting on January 31st. It was a wonderful gathering where we set our course for the coming year, benefited from the views of our 3 panelists on “Peacemaking in the 21st Century,” paid tribute to the leadership of Urbane Peachey, our past President, and enjoyed informal conversations during the reception.
You may be interested to know that many of those in attendance responded generously to the $1,000 Matching Fund Challenge, a first-time initiative by an anonymous donor. It is my pleasure to report to you that the challenge was met, and exceeded, and that the matching funds are already in the LIPW account.
We are grateful to all of you for this continued support and encouragement. We will be sure to list upcoming events on the website calendar and Facebook page and look forward to joining hands on these and other initiatives in the coming months.
