6 Essential Climate Facts We NEED to Know NOW
Citizens’ Climate Lobby of Lancaster and Community Mennonite Church will hold an earth action presentation featuring climate author Donald A. Brown on April 6th, 7:00 PM, at Community Mennonite Church, 328 West Orange Street, Lancaster.
This event is free and open to the public.
Brown, author of Climate Change Ethics: Navigating the Perfect Moral Storm, will explain six things that citizens around the world urgently need to understand about climate change. The need for broad understanding of these issues follows from several recent scientific reports on climate change including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report (10/8/18) which points to the conclusion that the international community is facing an urgent existential crisis.
Donald A. Brown is Scholar in Residence and Professor at Widener University School of Law. He has worked in government at state, federal, and international levels and taught the ethics, law, science, and politics of climate change for over 25 years. He has written extensively on environmental and sustainability ethics and law.
Brown manages an award-winning web site, EthicsandClimate.org, which examines ethical issues that arise in climate change policy formation.
Citizens’ Climate Lobby of Lancaster is part of a nationwide nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization empowering people to exercise their personal and political power.
