Save Our Unspoiled Land (SOUL) is supported by the ad hoc Lancaster Interchurch Peace Witness (LIPW) Environmental Group. On April 18, in response to a submission by SOUL spokesperson, Malinda Clatterbuck, the LIPW Board took action to provide financial and moral support for SOUL. Clatterbuck wrote: “Our movement is a grass roots movement, striving to protect our rural way of life in the southern end of Lancaster County from the greed and exploitation of unwanted outside corporations… we are advocates and educators, listening to stories of grief over losses. We strive to encourage people and empower them to speak up with us in their desire to change their injustice.”
